Top 5 JoongBo Moments

Nahahalata niyo na ba na wala akong bukambibig kundi JoongBo? Haha. Hopeless case nako sa dalawang ito. Everything they say or do just sends me to ssangchu heaven. Anyway, alam natin na marami silang to die for moments, but I picked my 5 favorite ones. Don’t even try asking me what my reactions were nung una ko napanood yung mga yun. Pero sige issummarize ko. They involved several tumbling stunts, near seizures, hyperventilations, drooling, and lovesick facial expressions. Haha. Well, here they are. Drum roll please…

No. 5 : The Yeobo Slip

KHJ: "Yeobo. No, why am I saying that?"

The yeobo slip really came out of nowhere! He always called her ‘Buin’.

“I think I always wanted to call you that.” *Swoons and dies*

Hay buhay. Ang unfair ng life. Gusto ko din ng isang Hyun Joong.Haha.

Lee Yoo, Who?

fotoshoot1

Apparently, ayaw nyang marinig na nagbabanggit si Hwang Bo ng guy in front of him. He’s usually expressionless pero dito unang nakita na he might be developing feelings for her. His ‘Arasso’ moment is to die for. Ang nakakatawa pa dun, he was jealous of a girl because Lee Yoo is a female model. Laughtrip ang eksena na ito. It’s always fun seeing Hyun Joong get worked up like that. Sobraaanng cute nya magselos. At for the nth time, naisip ko kung gaano kaswerte si Hwang Bo. Hay.

No. 4 : You Had Me at Aegyo

Hyun Joong's reaction upon seeing his Buin's much awaited aegyo

Hyun Joong's reaction upon seeing his Buin's much awaited aegyo

I think he just died and went to aegyo heaven that night. Haha. What I really like about this moment is Hyun Joong’s reaction. It just speaks of pure adoration. Lalo siguro siyang nainlababo sa Buin nya. Hwang Bo used to say in past interviews that she only does a cute act for her man. And finally, in episode 35, bumigay din si Hwang Bo. What really makes me wonder eh kaya ba bumigay si Hwang Bo sa pagaaegyo eh dahil she considers Hyun Joong as her man? Ano sa tingin nyo?

No. 3: The Pepero Game

pepero1

D.amn Hwang Bo is one lucky girl. Sila yung nanalo sa game na ito. 1.9 cm yung natira na pepero. And their lips didn’t touch. Daw. Hokay, sabi nila eh. I can feel Hwang Bo when they were playing this game. She must have been a nervous wreck. Imagine someone as screaming hot as Hyun Joong and his lips a few inches from yours, ewan ko na lang kung di ka pa takasan ng katinuan. Haha. Pero I salute her, nakatayo pa siya after the game. Nagpapaka nonchalant epek ang lola mo. Sus. If I were her, I’d just swallow the pepero and grab Hyun Joong and kiss him senseless. Of course Hyun Joong’s reaction didn’t escape from my hawk eyes. Haha.  Ah basta ako, I’d give anything just to play pepero with someone as smexy as Hyun Joong.

No. 2: 100th Day Wedding Photoshoot

Fotoshoot

Their wedding photshoot was purely memorable. Dito ko nafeel how far they’ve reached as a couple. What really warms my heart whenever I watch this episode is how attentive Hyun Joong was to Hwang Bo like when he was fanning the smog during his Buin’ s solo shots. At napansin ko din ang di nya paglet go sa kamay ni Hwang Bo habang hawak nila ung cards where their names were written. At siyempre ang favorite ng lahat ang ‘bobo’ scene on the bus. I swear Hyun Joong was acting all giddy that time. He really was excited in kissing Hwang Bo. Too bad the photographer just kept on ruining the moment for him. At nadeads din ako sa shy stares nila. Waaa. At siyempre dito rin nila sinabi ang 2 of my favorite quotable quotes…

HB: I don’t know about others, but there are times when you can hear your heart beating right? I heard mine beating today.

HJ: We did a lot of things today. I’m scared.

Of  liking his Buin too much? That’s not a bad thing right? ^^

No. 1 :  Falling Slowly + A Thousand Cranes

JB6

Whoever said that Hyun Joong is an emotionless and insincere man must have eaten his words right after watching this episode. This scene has romance written all over it. Singing Falling Slowly, saying saranghae, calling Hwang Bo his yeobo again,  and folding a thousand paper cranes are not what guys of his age would normally do. I can just imagine the hours of sleep he sacrificed while folding those cranes.  And why was he so nervous while singing? Na para bang love confession in real life ang gagawin nya at hindi para sa isang show? He really must have felt that Hwang Bo is his girl. And as for Hwang Bo? I think that her Shillang’s performance did it for her. It solidified her feelings for him. I mean, who wouldn’t? Hyun Joong was in his most sincere self here. It really warms my heart seeing him do such amazing things for the woman he treasures. The cranes he gave were truly meaningful. If that act was not love in its purest form, then I don’t know what is.

My Five True Pairings

Since I’m a huge follower of the Asian entertainment, I am going to present to you these 5 pairings that surely caused me to lose sleep, stare into nothingness, spazz like a loony, and make me blissful and in love even if I really suck at the romance department. Here they are…

No. 5: The SoEul Couple (Kim Bum and Kim So Eun)Soeul3

The Formula: Dazzling Young Guy + Cute Young Woman

The reason why I’ve continued watching Boys Over Flowers no matter how painfully agonizing the drama was because of this couple. Talk about pure chemistry! MinSun fans, don’t kill me, but I strongly think that the Soeul couple has more intense chemistry. They are superbly refreshing to see in front of the screen. I guess it’s in the way Kim Bum stares at Kim So Eun that totally made me hyperventilate when I get to watch them. They look so good together. And it’s spazz worthy to think that they are friends in real life and share the same college. Maybe in two or three years, they might start dating. Let’s just cross our fingers for that.

No. 4: ChunElla (Wu Chun and Ella Chen)

Chunella

The Formula: Pretty Boy + Androgenic Girl

Okay, I’m serious. They’re cute. They’re the unconventional pair and that’s why I’m crazy for this couple. Ella might not be called a beauty to present standards, but I really think that she has this certain appeal that make a lot of guys adore her. And yes, that includes our dear Chunnie. They’ve been rumored since their Hana Kimi Days and there are still a lot of people who think that they might be dating in real life. There are so many hints and coincidences surrounding these two. Their relationship is truly a mystery and I wish to decode it someday.Haha.

I really love watching Chunnie’s interviews when he talks about Ella. His tone changes into a cute one and he always has this tender look on his face. But then, he claims that they are just close friends and he sees Ella as his little brother. Whatever. I see otherwise.

No. 3 : Jun-Mao Couple (Jun Matsumoto and Inoue Mao)

jun&mao

The Formula: The Innocent Lady + The Not-So-Innocent-Looking-But-Adorable Guy

I think I was really close to having a heart attack when I watched Hana Yori Dango Final. Oh, the kisses they shared were hot! Seriously, were they even acting? And what’s with the frequent tender look Jun always gives Mao? I swear I’ve seen a couple of Jun’s dramas, he never stared at her leading ladies the way he stared at Mao. I really have loads of fun when I get to watch their interviews and BTS. My take is that Jun is questionably protective of Mao. And why is that? Because they’re tight? Come on. We know better. I will surely have a seizure if they ever announce that they are dating for real in the near future.

No. 2: ArJoe Couple (Ariel Lin and Joe Cheng)

Arjoe2

The Formula: Old Married Couple Vibe

Whoever thought to pair these two is truly a genius. Many of us laughed, cried, and fell in love in their three series together. And their chemistry never fades away. It just keeps getting stronger as the years pass by. I think that what’s truly special between them is that they are real friends. They understand and support each other and that positively radiates onscreen. They look so convincing as a married couple, I swear that a lot of times I think that they really are, and so does Joe’s father.lol. I’ve read before that Joe courted Ariel twice and she turned him down twice. I guess third time’s the charm? I sincerely hope that Ariel would realize what a catch Joe is. I’m really rooting for these two. ArJoe, jia you!

No. 1: Ssangchu Couple (Kim Hyun Joong and Hwang Bo)

we_got_married_

The Formula: Caring and Beautiful Older Bride + Quirky, Charming, and Gorgeous Younger Groom

Of course, they took the first spot. I’m a JoongBo fan! Haha. Seriously, I’m so in love with this couple. And the feeling never gets old. Their much celebrated pairing in We Got Married inspired a lot of people. Although it has been 8 months since they parted ways, there are still a lot of fans who continue to support them. It’s totally understable since it’s not everyday that you can find an extraordinary love story unfold before your eyes. It’s not everyday that you get to see a once lost guy gradually becoming a better man. It’s not everyday that you see a good woman positively radiating of happiness whenever her kid groom was around. As what I’ve said before, they were the most genuine and inspirational couple I have ever watched. They also made me grin like a total idiot, spazz like there’s no tomorrow, and made me giddy like a school girl. They truly complement each other and they bring out the best in each other. I can clearly see L-O-V-E whenever they look at each other.  I do hope that one of these days, they’ll get to realize that. That is, if they haven’t realized it yet. With all  the teasings, the talking t-shirts, the secret code ring, the blonde skeleton guy in Hwang Bo’s minihompy, and Hyun Joong’s eyebrow-raising answers in interviews, I doubt if they even considered letting go of each other.

Thank you, Jung Min

Park Jung Min has never been my favorite member in ss501. I guess I always perceived him as the bitchy member of the group. But ever since that one hell of a video, I think that I’ll always see stars whenever I hear his name or see his face in front of the monitor. He’s just freakingly awesome and totally unafraid of what his leader would do to him.

Watch for yourself. His Get Hot version is a total giveaway. I’m still as shocked as I was 4 days ago when I saw this video.

It’s really an epic. All joongboers and lurkers celebrated all over the world. Haha.

I think that what’s really special in this vid is not his ‘Get Hot’ dancing but THE POINTING.

Yes, he pointed Hyun Joong while dancing Get Hot with the silly smile on his face. And the other members had all their knowing smiles.

And poor Hyun Joong was quite lost for awhile. He forgot his cue. He must be really nervous.

I think that is really telling something.

Please  Hyun Joong and Hwang Bo, come out in the open already. We are dying with anticipation. Junjin had the guts to confirm his relationship with his WGM wife. Don’t you want to follow his lead???

Anyways, I really love this video to bits. It made me smile despite a craptastic week at work.

And I sincerely want to thank Jung Min for giving us a major hint about our favorite couple.

Kamsahamnida!

Again (A JoongBo fanfiction)

Finding Destiny

Finding Destiny

CHAPTER 1

Nothing could have prepared Hwang Bo for this. For seeing him in all his boyish glory, standing a few meters away from her, after several months of nothing.

She suddenly felt clutching her chest to tame the erratic beating of her heart, but decided against it. Any unusual reaction on her part would only lead to questions and teasing by her co-hosts. She knew for a fact that it would not also escape the observant eyes of the crazy fans of this idol group that they had as guests. Hwang Bo wasn’t sure if she could handle any of that.

More than half a year had passed since they parted ways, and yet she could still feel the same overwhelming, confusing emotions whenever he was around. It was amazing. And it was too da.mned disturbing.

D.arn the producers for coming up with this idea; for wanting to boost the show’s ratings, and for wanting to ignite the interest of the people in all of Korea. They were filming another episode of Infinity Girls, so the producers decided to invite SS501. Coincidentally, SS501 was also doing their promotions for their new album, so they agreed. Hwang Bo was sure that this episode would be the hot topic of conversation alright, and she was surer that she would again become the target of the fan girls’ wrath. Life was again complicated.

However, she knew that despite all her fears and initial pessimism, she was happy to see him again. She was happy to see him somehow gain back the weight that he had lost while filming his much talked about drama. She was happy to see the real Kim Hun Joong back.

The director was instructing them to get ready. They would start filming a few minutes from now. Hwang Bo could barely contain her nervousness and her knowledge of the games that they would have to play.

Eun Ee was already explaining the mechanics of the game. She was the designated host. Since they would be playing several couple games, one would be left out because they only had five boys as guests.

“Ya! Bong Sun, will you keep still? You might scare them.” Eun Ee told her with a laugh.

“Hyun Joong oppa, pick me! Hwang Bo will understand.” Bong Sun pleaded while jumping up and down. The girl was dying to play the pepero game with him. Everybody laughed at her. Kyu Jong and Baby was patting Hyun Joong’s back, as if trying to console him.

“Do that and Hwang Bo might strangle you.” Boram warned Bong Sun.

Great. Now, they were ganging up on her. She could not believe it. What would he think of her? That she was still pathetically pining for him? That she was still unable to move on? Though that was the truth, she could never let him think of her that way.

“Ani. We’re divorced. He’s free to choose whoever he wants to choose.” She quickly told them, a tad less confident. Wait a minute. Did she just see the hurt look in Hyun Joong’s eyes? No. That was not possible. She was probably imagining things again.

“You heard that Hyun Joong? But it’s still a good idea if you pick her. She wants you to.”

More laughter ensued. She made a mental note to strangle Eun Ee later.

“Ya! Stop ganging up on me!” She helplessly pleaded.

“Ok. Ok. Let’s proceed to the pepero game.”

Hwang Bo sighed loudly. They would be playing that game again. Memories of Chuseok Special flashed before her eyes. Hyun Joong instructing her to close her eyes and let him come to her. The wild beating of her heart. The feel of his warm breath as he came closer and closer. The shy look on his face after the game. They were all good memories. But those memories tortured her. Was it really necessary to play a game that heavily reminded her of all the good times she had with him? Was it really necessary to make her suffer this way? She half wished that Kyu Jong or Baby would be her pepero partner. She doubted if her weak heart could handle it if Hyun Joong was the one who was standing very close to her.

“The girls will be blindfolded while holding the pepero. The boys will take the pepero of the girl they like to be paired with.” Eun Ee continued explaining.

Bong Sun and Shin Young were uncontrollable now. Both were jumping up and down, shouting Hyun Joong and Kyu Jong’s names. Even Boram could barely conceal her glee. The girl was trying very hard to hide her excitement to be paired with Jung Min, but failing miserably. Ga Eun was smiling on the side, being timid as usual.

“Boys, are you ready?” Eun Ee asked in a loud voice. They were already lined up, blindfolded while holding their pepero up in the air.

“Ready!” The boys said quite loudly.

Hwang Bo smiled. She could just imagine the fan girls’ dying with envy when they get to watch this episode. She could now feel the shuffling of several feet and their pepero sticks being taken away.

“Alright. The boys already had their pick. Ga Eun’s partner may now remove her blindfold.”

“Hyung Joon ssi…” Ga Eun muttered in a surprised voice. Predictable, Hwang Bo thought. Baby had a thing for pretty girls, and Ga Eun was really good looking.

A moment later, she heard Youngsaeng’s voice.

“I pick noona.” Bong Sun quickly recovered from her disappointment of not being paired with Hyun Joong. Hwang Bo laughed at her squeals.

“Kyu Jong, reveal yourself to your partner. “ Eun Ee ordered, and he complied. It was Shin Young. And her reaction was very very similar to Bong Sun’s. Hwang Bo could not blame her for acting as if she had won the lottery. Kyu Jong, in all sense of the word, was very cute. And he was a nice guy.

“Ok. For the last two pairs, you can simultaneously remove the blindfolds of your partners.”

Hwang Bo was extremely uneasy now. That left her and Boram to be possibly paired with Jung Min and Hyun Joong.

A few moments later, she felt her blindfold being removed. She instantly looked to her right for her fear of finding out who her partner was and to adjust her eyes. She found Boram happily hugging Jung Min. And that meant…

“Annyeong, Buin.” She heard Hyun Joong say. She felt her breath get caught in her throat. The place suddenly became quiet, knowing that attention was on them.

Buin. There was that word again. She seriously hated that word the months following their separation. Hearing that word made her extremely lonely. It made her cry until her tear ducts went dry. Especially knowing that she would never hear him affectionately call her that again. They were over. Their fake marriage had its conclusion. And yet, here he was, addressing her as his Buin. Again.

It seemed like eternity when she turned around to face Hyun Joong. And when she did, all she could ever feel was her heart doing cartwheels and somersaults in her chest.

Hyun Joong was smiling at her. He was smiling in that special way of his that would make all his fan girls swoon and die with happiness. Hwang Bo mentally kicked herself for acting like one. Hell, she was blushing furiously.

Hyun Joong continued to stare at her. Intensely so. It was slowly driving her crazy. She attempted to stare back, and was surprised to see the conflicting emotions that were displayed there for her to see.

She could see longing, happiness, frustration, and amusement. She wondered why. After not communicating with her after they left We Got Married and acting all cool and professional in MBC awards, it really surprised her to see him acting this way.

“I pick you, Buin.” Hyun Joong told her in a voice dripped with too much affection.

Hwang Bo gulped.

Oh crap. This is going to be bad. She thought as she stared at the pepero in Hyun Joong’s hand.
*******************************************************************

CHAPTER 2
Did she just say that things were going to get bad? She was dead wrong. Things were going to get worse. She was sure of it.

Hwang Bo rubbed her temples to ease her growing headache. Filming this episode was truly taxing. She was just truly glad that they had a ten-minute break. Their turn was next. And just thinking of Hyun Joong’s maneuvering mouth was enough to turn her into a walking bunch of nerves.

What the hell? Where did that thought of Hyun Joong’s mouth come from?

She really was going crazy. And it certainly didn’t help that Hyun Joong kept throwing glances in her direction every now and then.

Just then, Jung Min’s back became visible to where she was seated, and she immediately glared at him. D.amn the guy. D.amn him for being so good at playing pepero. Hwang Bo sweated buckets just by watching him play the game.

Yes, Jung Min was able to leave a 1.9 centimeter pepero, much to Boram’s delight. Hwang Bo could still remember her friend’s flustered face after the game and her failed attempt to calm herself.

Hwang Bo continued to sulk. Hyun Joong was also able to achieve that 1.9 centimeter pepero in the Chuseok Special. And knowing his competitive nature, she was sure that he was already thinking of outdoing Jung Min. Which only meant bad news to her weak heart.

“Hyung, you must beat Jung Min-hyung. Do your best!” It was Baby.

Great. They were even firing Hyun Joong’s competitive spirit. He only replied with a confident smirk.

Hwang Bo reluctantly stood up when she saw the director motioning them to get ready. It didn’t take that long before Hyun Joong appeared in front of her.

“Nervous much?” He stared at her with concern apparent on his face, though his tone was teasing.

You have no idea, she wanted to say.

“No, I… You don’t have to outdo Jung Min, you know.” She blurted out.

Hyun Joong just stared at her. And smirked. Again.

“Will you stop that?” She glared at him with much effort. Ogling would have been more natural, especially now that she could clearly see his face. She wondered if she could ever train her heart to beat normally whenever she was given the chance to look at the sight of him- at the gorgeous sight of him.

“Stop what?” He asked her in an amused tone.

“Your smirk. It’s quite irritating. Anyway, you don’t need to prove anything. You don’t need to outdo him.”

Hyun Joong’s brows shot up.

“Why?”

Because your unnecessary proximity would only torture me. It would torture my suffering heart and my sanity. Because after this, I’m sure that it would take a herculean task to get over you, Hwang Bo reasoned to herself.

“Because it’s just a game.” She told him instead.

With that, Hwang Bo walked away and went to their make-shift stage.
***************************************************
Everyone gathered around them. Her co-hosts were either smiling from ear to ear or clapping excitedly. Kyu Jong and Baby were encouraging their leader, while Young Saeng and Jung Min were standing very close to them, smiling.

As Hwang Bo held a portion of the pepero in her mouth, she noticed Hyun Joong openly staring at her.

“Buin…” Hyun Joong started to ask.

“Hmm?” She could not quite meet his eyes now.

“You remember right?”

“Remember what?” She asked, confused.

“You know, just close your eyes and let me handle it. Let me come to you.” He stated, flustered.

Did she remember?

Of course she did. Everything he said and did was permanently etched in her mind. And she would never forget the thrill she felt when Hyun Joong said those exact words to her in the Chuseok Special. She had never seen him act and talk as manly as he did at that moment.

“Okay.” She replied weakly.

What happened next, Hwang Bo wasn’t sure how she found the strength to continue standing there in front of him.

As soon as she closed her eyes, she instantly heard Bong Sun’s and Shin Young’s giggles. Boram joined the giggle fest a few moments later. She also heard Kyu Jong and Baby cheering for Hyun Joong.

But most of all, she felt Hyun Joong’s overwhelming presence. She felt him come closer and closer while skillfully eating the pepero, his deliberate movements wreaking havoc to her senses and to her heart.

But what really drove her to the edge was the feel of Hyun Joong’s lips ‘accidentally’ brushing over hers, waaay longer than necessary.

Hwang Bo’s eyes instantly flew open, only to find Hyun Joong’s lips still lingering over hers. With his eyes closed.

She blinked. Twice. Thrice. And still Hyun Joong didn’t budge.

Finally, he managed to break away from her.

Hwang Bo blankly stared at him. Hyun Joong stared back at her. Intensely.

From her peripheral vision, she could make out the gaping image of Bong Sun, while Baby’s eyes were ready to pop out from their sockets.

When Eun Ee awkwardly walked towards her to measure the remaining pepero, she did the most idiotic thing she ever did in her whole twenty-nine years of existence.

She didn’t know what the hell she was thinking or if her brain was still functioning, but the next thing she knew, she was swallowing the pepero.

*******************************************************************

CHAPTER 3
Hyun Joong felt his mouth open wide as his gaze zeroed in on Hwang Bo- as what he had been shamelessly doing for the past hour or so.

Hwang Bo was still nervously swallowing the remaining pepero he left on her mouth. And he didn’t know whether to laugh at her for doing that classic act or hug her because he simply missed her.

He missed her very much.

Being around her today brought back a lot precious moments of being together. It triggered a whole round of indescribable emotions, fairly similar to what he started feeling a year ago. And he had no idea how he was supposed to deal with that.

When their manager-nim briefly mentioned to them that they were filming an episode with the Moohan Girls, he stuggled to act nonchalant about it. He just shrugged and acted as if he was about to film another CF with some girl, whose name he couldn’t even remember.

Kyu Jong saw through him though. The d.amned kid casually entered his room one night to tell him to stop acting all tough and accept the fact that he misses her. And so he did. He admitted to himself that he was dying to see her. That he was aching to see her beautiful face, see the tender looks she used to give him, and hear her rowdy laughter. He thought he would die from anticipation as the days slowly rolled by.

Just by looking at her today, he didn’t know how he was able to put up with months of useless pretensions. He didn’t know how he found the strength not to call her and ask her how she had been. He must have been a total idiot for pushing her back into his mind. For not allowing himself to really feel what he started feeling during their pretend marriage, whatever it was.

He thought he made the right choice. He didn’t want to complicate things. His band just got back together and as a responsible leader, he couldn’t afford to start a scandal. But d.amn it, the minute he saw her, all excuses of responsibility and rationality escaped his mind. His gaze was constantly fixed on her, and when she wasn’t in his line of vision, he grew restless. He knew he had been acting like a lovesick fool, but he didn’t care. It just surprised him to think that he was capable of being this way when he was with her. That he was so into her.

Just then, Eun Ee broke his thoughts with her loud voice.

“Ermm… Are we now playing the Who-could-stare-the-longest Game? We’re still being filmed, you know. ” She asked in a teasing tone.

“Oh, look at that blush.” Boram said, giggling.

Hyun Joong didn’t know whether she was referring to him or to Hwang Bo. Although he was positive that his cheeks felt hot.

“About the pepero..” Eun Ee started to ask.

At that, Hyun Joong was sure that his cheeks resembled that of well-cooked crabs. His brothers’ laughter was ringing in his ears and he quickly fixed them a glare. But Jung Min didn’t care, he just continued shaking with laughter while holding his stomach.

Oh, this kid is begging for some beating later, he wickedly thought.

His gaze was back to Hwang Bo. And he quickly noticed her discomfort as she refused to meet his eyes.

He cursed himself mentally for his stupidity. He only meant to beat Jung Min and enjoy the game with her. What he didn’t count on was how powerful her effect was on him, how amazingly beautiful she had become since he last saw her, and how inviting her soft lips looked. So, the next thing he knew, his lips were lingering on hers. As if his lips moved to their own accord, draining all the common sense he claimed he once had. How he managed to break away, he had no idea.

Hwang Bo swallowed. She was nervous. That much was obvious.

“The pepero was eaten. So, obviously, there’s nothing left to measure.” Eun Ee told them while struggling to suppress a smile.

“Do you want to play again?” His brothers were again howling with laughter.

Hwang Bo’s eyes visibly bulged and glared at Eun Ee.

“Or..you can just let Jung Min and Boram win.”

Before he could open his mouth to speak, Hwang Bo already made a decision.

“Just let them win. It doesn’t matter.” She stated, still refusing to look at him.
****************************************************
Hyun Joong contemplated whether he should spend the remaining minutes of the break to talk to her. He knew he was pushing his luck, but he felt that he needed to explain what he did. He just hoped that he didn’t freak her out so much that she was still willing to talk to him.

He found her sitting on a corner, fiddling her phone. Her back quickly straightened as she felt him come closer.

“Hwang Buin…” He started saying. Jung Min must have had rolled his eyes if he had heard the way Hyun Joong’s voice wrap around her name like a caress.

“About what happened a while ago…”

She just shot him an irate glance.

“Well, at least you’re looking at me now.” He said, clearly annoyed. He didn’t understand why she was being so difficult.

“I just want to expain about you know, during the pepero game, when I…” Hyun Joong paused, not knowing how to continue.

You know, during that crazy moment when I took advantage of your closed eyes and parted lips. When my lips instinctively brushed yours for a whole minute. I want you to know that I like it. And I like to kiss you for much longer than that,  he wanted to say but wasn’t sure how that would go well with the woman sitting in front of him.

“There’s nothing to explain.” Hwang Bo said a few moments later.

His eyebrows furrowed.

“I mean, I know it was total carelessness on you part, right? You didn’t mean to do it.”

“Well, I-”

“Because if it wasn’t, I would have no idea how to deal with it. So let’s just say that you didn’t mean to do it.” She breathed out.

For once, Hyun Joong had a hard time locating his tongue. He just shifted nervously on his feet.

They continued being silent after the break. Their legs were now being tied for the next game. Hyun Joong suspected that this episode’s mission was to make them feel extremely nostalgic. First, it was the d.amned pepero game. Now, it was the three-legged race. Couldn’t the crew just exercise their creativity for once and let them play games that didn’t need to remind them of their marriage?

“Well, this seems familiar.” Was his lame attempt to ease the awkwardness between them.

“Yes, it is. We had fun back then, didn’t we?” Hwang Bo asked him with a small smile.

“Of course. But I always have fun when I’m with you.” He stated, chuckling.

Hwang Bo looked at him, surprised. Honestly, he didn’t get it that she would still look surprised by a simple statement like that. He already told her several deeper declarations in the past, didn’t he?

“Okay, we’re going to start the three legged race. Boys, hold your partners close. You don’t want them to trip.” Eun Ee said while winking at him.

Hyun Joong heaved a quiet sigh. As he put his arms around her, he felt his nerves stretch tight. All his senses were hyper-alert. When Hwang Bo turned to look at him, his heart started thundering like a stampede of wild horses.

And at that moment, everything made sense. He finally stopped wondering why it felt right to be near her. Why it felt so good to hold her close. Why he can easily forget everything else when she was around.

Finally, the emotion that he had started to feel had a name. He just hoped that he wasn’t too late to let her know about it.

CHAPTER 4

Hwang Bo sighed in frustration as she threw the odd thing she had been crazily knitting for the past hour.

It had been four days since the filming of their latest episode, and she spent those days trying to make herself busy. Just to get her mind off things- or rather, someone. She watched every DVD she could possibly get her hands on, stayed up late at night watching reruns, cleaned her room, and even her whole apartment. When the fourth day came, she ran out things to do. But then she remembered that she hadn’t knitted for a long time. So she did, hoping to find comfort in a completely mindless activity. But even knitting failed to give her the peace and calm she needed.

Her gaze was then transfixed on that odd thing she had been attempting to knit. The thing, as if annoying her further, had the form of a scarf. A lime green scarf.

Ugh. This is it. I’m officially going crazy, she thought as she started pacing around her living room.

It annoyed her so much that no matter what she did, her thoughts always kept on coming back to him and to that eventful episode they had.

The way he stared at her, his tender voice while calling her ‘Buin’, the memory of his lips touching hers, and the way he held her close during the race were making her lose her sanity. By the time he started singing his solo song, she was already trying her darnedest to appear calm and collected. She felt her chest tighten as she recalled the way he sang. As if he was singing for her and as if he was making her understand something.

Of course, that wasn’t the end of her torture. Reaching for her phone, she began reading the text message he sent two nights ago. As if she didn’t already know it by heart.

I miss you. I’m ssorry for everything.
Let me make it up to you
.

She couldn’t really get him this time. Why give her so much attention now when their marriage was so over? And it wasn’t even a real one. Was he just so bored with his life that he needed her to amuse him? Didn’t he have any idea that she had suffered enough already?

She realized with a start that she was again consumed with thoughts of him. She swore it wouldn’t happen again. She couldn’t afford to immerse herself with memories that could potentially break her in the future.

She changed into her sweats. She needed to do some running tonight. Perhaps that would finally clear her mind.

****************************************************
The cool gentle breeze fanned Hwang Bo’s face as she started running around the park near her apartment building. She didn’t care that it was already 8 o’clock in the evening. She no longer wanted to knit that stupid thing anyway. Running was much better.

She started slowly, gradually building her speed. But a few minutes later, she was already panting. She needed to run much faster, hoping to drown all her thoughts about him.

She gulped upon reaching the darkened corner of the park. She paused for a while, contemplating whether she should continue running or not. Well, she knew taekwondo. At least that would count for something in case she needed to incapacitate any pervert lurking around. But then she tensed as she thought she saw a dark figure leaning on a tree.

She took several steps forward and she suddenly heard the dark figure speak in a very familiar voice, nearly giving her a heart attack.

“Are you preparing for the London Olympics? Don’t you think it’s a little early for that?

She groaned while clutching her chest.

It was him. It was Hyun Joong. D.amn him.

“What are you doing here?!”

Was it his mission in life to irritate her to death?

“I’m stalking you.” He answered back.

“Are you out of your mind?! What if somebody sees you here? You don’t have any idea how crazy your fangirls can get.” She didn’t care how her voice went several octaves higher.

Hyun Joong only chuckled and pulled her farther into the shadows of trees.

“Let me go.” She stated as she winced in pain.

“I just can’t! No matter how hard I try!” His face was contorted in pain while his voice screamed of frustration.

“I meant my hand, Hyun Joong.” She explained as she looked at how he was gripping her hand. He released it at once.

“Buin-” He started saying but she cut him off.

“Will you stop calling me that? It irritates the hell out of me.”

“Oh. Do you want me to call you ‘yeobo’ then?” He asked, hoping to ease the tension.

“I’m serious. I don’t even know why you’re here.”

“Didn’t I tell you that I will make it up to you?” He asked.

“You don’t need to do anything! God, why are you being so difficult? You should go home. Let’s pretend that this never happened.” She said, turning her back on him.

“I want you.” Hyun Joong told her, making her freeze on her tracks.

“I want you. So much that it hurts to think of the time I’ve wasted because I was trying to be rational. Because I was afraid of a lot of things. I hate myself for being such a coward for the longest time.” He stated in his most sincere voice.

“I’m stupid for letting my fears intervene with what I truly feel for you. I’ve just realized how empty my life has been without your presence. And I want you to know, really want you to understand, how much I am in love with you.” As he spoke, his eyes shimmered with intense emotion.

Hwang Bo blinked back her tears as she turned to face him. At moments like this, she didn’t know how hard it was to let her mind rule over her heart.

“You don’t know what you’re saying. You’re young. What you want now maybe different to what you will like a few years later. You should go home.” She fought the urge to cringe at how broken her voice had sounded.

“Will you stop talking to me like there’s a 20-year gap between us?!” He asked, visibly annoyed.

“Then what do you want me to say? Our marriage was fake Hyun Joong! We’re not supposed to have real feelings for each other. And we’re too different. Do you want me to start telling you why we are different?”

“You and I…We’re not just possible. So we should stop thinking about starting something that can only hurt us in the future.” But she knew it was too late. She was already breaking inside.

“I’m so tired from all of these. Please. Just let me be.” She begged him.

“I just like to know about one thing. Did you ever feel something for me?” Hyun Joong’s gaze bore into hers while asking.

“Does it matter?” She asked back.

“Just answer the question, d.amn it.” Hyun Joong demanded, his eyes fierce.

“No, I don’t.” There. She hoped her voice sounded convincing enough.

“I never did.” She continued as she looked at him in the eye for emphasis.

Hyun Joong breathed deeply, struggling to calm himself.

“Is that what you truly feel?” He asked her again, desperation etched in his voice.

“I think I already told you how I feel. So please stop making things more difficult than they already are.” Her voice hard in finality.

Hyun Joong remained immobile and continued to look at her, possiby wanting to get the truth from her eyes.

His gaze dropped to the ground for a while, allowing what she told him to sink in completely. After a few moments, he slowly looked up at her again and nodded his head in clear defeat.

“All right. Let’s leave it at that.” He quietly conceded before turning away from her.

As Hwang Bo watched him leave, she felt her heart break over and over again with every step he took.

She bitterly smiled through her tears. She made the right choice. The smart choice.

So why did it hurt like hell to see him walk away from her life?
********************************************************************

CHAPTER 5
“Who else are you going to marry?! Who?”
“Does it take too much calories to show me a cute act?”
“For the next 994 days, I’ll be good to you.”
“We did a lot of things today. I’m scared.”
“I strongly felt that you were someone sent by God.”
Hwang Bo sighed as she tried to stop herself from having another teary episode as memories of Hyun Joong flashed before her. D.amn her tears. She swore they had a mind of their own. They kept falling easily no matter how hard she willed them not to.
Every waking minute in the past seven days was spent on keeping herself together. Every moment became a constant struggle to forget the hurt she caused him and herself. She didn’t think it was possible to get her heart broken this much, but apparently it was.
She tried to sprinkle some positivity to ease her situation even for just a little bit. She kept telling herself that she would get past this. She had dealt with heartbreak twice, this should no longer be new to her. Someday, she hoped she would learn to forget. One day, she would get better.
She inhaled deeply, but even her breathing seemed labored. Her chest was hollow.
“You know, I’ve never seen anyone try so hard.” Came Eun Ee’s voice in the doorway. She was one of the few people whom she confided about what transpired at the park.
“I’m okay.” She said, exasperated.
“It doesn’t seem that way to me.”
Hwang Bo answered her with a pout.
“You’re a mess. Do you even get to sleep?” Eun Ee asked in a concerned tone.
Not for the last seven days, she wanted to say but remained quiet.
“You’re crazy about him. And so does he. So why are you still sulking here?” Eun Ee probed further.
“In case you haven’t noticed unni, I’m trying to do the right thing.” She said while closing her eyes. She was so not going to let Eun Ee see her cry.
“Oh please. Enough of that. You should be happy by now. You should be happy with him, instead of torturing yourself and trying so hard to be strong.”
“It’s not that simple!” She told her. She was almost shouting.
“Well, I never said it’s going to be.” Eun Ee insisted, frustrated.
“Being happy requires a lot of effort. It’s just that it pains me to see you throw away the chance of being truly happy with someone.”
“I can learn to be happy on my own.” She argued.
“I can’t believe how irritatingly stubborn you can get. And you know what I think? I think you’re just afraid. You’re afraid of letting yourself truly realize how deeply you want to be with hi m.”
Eun Ee took a few steps closer to study her face.
“Being with someone is a risk. You just have to choose carefully whom you will entrust your heart to. And I think Hyun Joong is worth that risk.”
She refused to answer her. She didn’t want to fight with Eun Ee too. She had experienced enough drama for the past week to last her a lifetime.
“Be fair to yourself Hye Jung. Follow what your heart truly wants. And when you finally do, let’s just hope it’s not yet too late.” Eun Ee told her before walking away.
********************************************************************
Hwang Bo walked to her car shortly after finishing the latest episode of Infinity Girls. She checked her watch. It was nearly 9 o ‘clock in the evening. It was a truly tiring day, made worse by the emotional ordeal she had been experiencing. It still surprised her that she was still capable of driving when her mind was a total clutter.
Just then her phone started vibrating, startling her a little bit. She stared at the unknown number on the screen.
“Hello?” She uttered hesitantly.
“Annyeong noona, it’s Kyu Jong.” Came the voice on the other line.
“Oh. Kyu Jong-sshi. What is it?”
“I’m sorry noona for butting in. But I just want to inform you that our group will be going to Japan tonight.”
Hwang Bo paused, unsure of what she would say.
“Well, have a safe trip then.”
“We’re staying there for a couple of months. Our manager even said our stay can be extended up to four months.” Kyu Jong explained.
Hwang Bo’s grip tightened on the steering wheel. There it was again, her heart wincing in so much pain at the thought of him being so far away from her for a long time.
“I think you should talk to Hyun Joong-hyung before we leave. Please noona. He has been miserable since last week. He might collapse again due to exhaustion.” He pleaded.
“Where is he?” She finally asked, surprising herself.
“He’s supposed to be at our dorm now to get his things. We’re meeting him at the airport in forty-five minutes.”
Hwang Bo ended the conversation after Kyu Jong gave her the address of their dorm. She didn’t care that she was now driving like a maniac. Traffic rules be d.amned. She had to get there in time. She silently prayed that she would still have the chance to see him and talk to him. She couldn’t afford to lose him this time because every fiber of her being wanted to be with him.
*******************************************************************************************************
She saw him come out of the building  lifting two big suitcases. She parked her car across the street and slammed the door so hard, she thought it would get detached.
By the time she managed to cross the street, he was already revving up the engine of his car. So she did the only thing she could think of to stop him- she blocked his way.
His car came to an abrupt stop, nearly hitting her knees. Hyun Joong stepped out of the car, obviously steaming in anger.
“What are you doing?! Do you want to get yourself killed?!” He yelled at her. She flinched as she looked at how stormy his eyes had become.
“Where are you going?” She trembled as she asked him.
“Japan.” He answered, his eyes narrowing.
“For how long?”
“For a week.”
“Oh. That’s what I thought.” She hoped the road would open up and swallow her- now. She was beyond humiliated. She made a mental note to strangle Kyu Jong for this.
Hyun Joong studied her face for  a while, as if contemplating whether or not to say anything else.
“Why are you here? He said finally, sounding tired.
She breathed deeply as she tentatively took a few steps closer to him. She cleared her throat and spoke.
“I’m here because I’m done pretending. Because I want to be honest about what I truly feel for you.”
Hyun Joong didn’t speak. He remained rooted in his position, his expression she couldn’t decipher.
Hwang Bo bit her lip and continued explaining.
“When I told you I didn’t want you, I lied. Because I was afraid. And I was determined to prove to you and to everyone that I was right about us. Us not being meant together. My fears and insecurities got the better of me. When you left that night, I felt like dying from so much heartache.”
She crossed her arms over her chest, trying to look composed. She recalled watching his retreating back, her heart twisting painfully.
“But now I’m here. Asking for one more chance. Hoping that I can still have my happy ending. With you. And I can no longer stand the thought of wasting another minute being away from you.”
“What I’m trying to say is I’m in love with you too. I’ve been in love with you since the moment you sang for me under that peach tree. And I would give anything- anything to hear you say you love me again. That you love me still.”
She was aware of the tears brimming her eyes but she didn’t attempt to wipe them. She didn’t care. She looked like a total wreck even before her outburst anyway.
Hyun Joong remained silent. And she started freaking out in her thoughts. Maybe she was too late. Maybe he didn’t want her anymore. It seemed like her world was caving in on her.
When Hyun Joong finally walked towards her, she felt her breath get caught in her throat and her pulse accelerate.
He reached up and trailed a finger down her cheeks, wiping her tears.
“I love you, Buin. I’m so glad you came here and found me.” He stated simply.
Hwang Bo’s tongue was stuck in her throat. She just stared at him. She had no idea how his words had the power to instantly fix the shattered pieces of her heart.
Just then, Hyun Joong leaned over slowly, then finally pressed his lips to hers. She closed her eyes the second their lips touched, overwhelmed by the absolute perfection of the moment.
She wanted to engrave this memory on her mind forever. From the way his soft lips touched hers to the way his left hand held hers tightly. Her heart was singing and she felt tears of happiness fill her eyes. She closed them tighter as Hyun Joong deepened the kiss.
When they parted, he pressed his forehead  to hers and looked straight into her eyes.
“Buin, why didn’t we think of this sooner?” He asked through ragged breathing.
“Because we’ve been stupid.” Hwang Bo answered. Her heart was still pounding from the kiss.
“But I’m willing to make up for lost time.” She said while hugging him tight. She felt a rush of warmth and comfort at the thought of being in his arms. Finally.
“Don’t you have a flight to catch?” She asked him a few moments later, trying to pull away from him.
“It can wait. And I’m not done kissing you.” Hyun Joong tenderly told her as he pulled her closer for another kiss.
As soon as she melted into his touch, she was again invaded with a cascade of memories. From their X- man days, to the moment she saw him sitting on his suitcase at the airport in Jeju Island, spending a date with him in Japan, performing with him, hearing him say I love you, playing with him at the theme park, performing aegyo for him, their farewell trek on Mt. Halla, seeing him again during the Infinity Girls shoot, and up to their tearful encounter at the park.
She was glad- truly glad that she hadn’t lost him completely. And it amazed her that no matter how many times she tried saying goodbye, she always found herself coming back to him.
She smiled against his lips.
“Why are you smiling?” Hyun Joong asked her after breaking off the kiss, his eyes shining with contentment.
“I just love you.” She happily told him.
“Let’s promise something to each other then.” He offered.
“What is it?”
“Let’s promise not to let anything come between us. And never lose each other again.” He said while clasping her hands in his.
“I promise.” She told him wholeheartedly as she entwined his fingers with hers.
“Now that I found you again, I’m never going to let you go.” She continued saying.
Hyun Joong’s eyes visibly softened at that.
“Buin…” He whispered tenderly.
“What?”
“Nothing. I just love calling you that.” He answered while giving her his trademark shillang smile that she loved so much.
She planted a soft kiss on his neck, breathing his familiar scent. Her body tingled all over.
“Buin, Buin, Buin, Buin…” Hyun Joong playfully said over and over.
“Ya! Quit it!” She warned him with a pout as Hyun Joong tightened his arms around her once more.
THE END

JoongBo Lovin’

2847939235_dc79d08b36_oSino sila?

Well, kundi kayo familiar sa KPop world, I guess di nyo nga sila makikilala.

Yes that’s him with his wife in We Got Married, Hwang Bo.

Isa sigurong regret ko sa buhay ang di ko pakikinig sa friend ko last year n manood ng show na ito. Adik at mega buwang kasi ako sa Twilight kaya I missed the chance to watch them every week nung kasagsagan pa ng We Got Married mania.

Nadiskubre ko lang sila last January. So I gave in. Para matahimik na rin sya. Haha.

All of a sudden parang napanis ang palitan ng mga ‘I can’t live without you’ lines nila Bella at Edward.

And all it took me is to watch episode 9 of We Got Married.

Haha.

No one can blame me though.

Nagsimula sila sa pagiging soobbbrrang awkward to the maximum level to the sweetest, most genuine pair na napanood ko on television. Walang dull moments pag part na nila. Tatawa ka, kikiligin ka, and at times maiinis ka. Lalo na kay Hyun Joong at the early part of their marriage.

It’s a known fact na Hwang Bo is frequently surrounded by males at she has a lot of male friends.

Iba ang concern, ang sweetness na pinakita nya when she was around her shillang (hubby). I have a feeling na sinapuso nilang dalawa ang married life nila. haha.

Sobrang nkakasenti pag naalala ko how much their relationship have progressed. Nakakaamaze na mapanood how good they treated each other. Na para bang nannood ka ng isang true to life love story. Na bawat skinship inaabangan mo. Bawat reaksiyon big deal sayo.haha.

Sobrang thankful ako na nakilala ko sila. I used to have a negative view regarding marriage and skeptic ako pagdating sa sarili kong buhay pag-ibig. But after watching them, parang gusto ko maging positive sa lahat. Parang all of a sudden napapaisip na lang ako na marriage life is not really that bad after all.  That all it takes is marrying the right person and doing the best you can to make the marriage work. (ayan,  lumalalim na ang usapan).

I guess I will be a Joongboer for life.

To the World!
